Hi, I'm Adam.
I'm a modern wedding photographer based out of the UK in the business of capturing authentic moments and preserving memories for couples. More importantly, I'm a husband, father, purveyor of only the best puns, eater of all the Jaffa Cakes and a tequila drinker.
Why do these things matter I hear you say?!
Well... I've always discussed with couples that the personality of the whoever is behind the camera is equally, if not more important, than what they can do with it. What shapes your photographer, will ultimately shape what they capture and how they capture it.
It will also dictate how comfortable you, as a couple, and your guests will feel when being photographed. This is why I've always been a big believer in never choosing a photographer based solely on their images alone...
It’s your wedding, not a photoshoot and it’s the moments that matter
When I chat to couples, I’d say a solid 90% tell me that they don’t particularly enjoy having their picture taken and that they'll be incredibly awkward and uncomfortable in front of the camera. For most couples it can be a daunting prospect having their pictures taken as aside from the odd selfie here and there, having pictures together is a pretty alien concept for most. This is why having someone around you on your wedding day who you feel totally comfortable with is so important. Someone who can calm you down during the inevitable morning nerves and have a laugh with (or normally at in my case!) so you can just be yourself as a couple.
Yes, it’s true, as photographers, we all love a nice creative portrait of you together but in reality, it’s the moments that matter, unscripted and unexpected moments which always resonate the most when you look back through the gallery. These moments come in all shapes and sizes. Knowing you as a couple plays a huge part in me understanding who and what is important to you on your wedding day and also to an extent, shapes how I would capture the day for you.
