Relaxed and beautiful home wedding on the South Coast.

If ever a wedding summed up a couple more, it would be Gen and Kit's incredible wedding. The wedding was hosted at Kit's parents house on Emsworth Harbour on the South Coast of England. Gen and Kit had spent so much of lockdown together there they said it only felt natural to use the house as their reception venue. Supported by their wonderful wedding planner Ella Hartig, Gen and Kit's vision was brought to life. Not only was their day chic and stylish but it was also full of love and liveliness in equal measure.

Whilst Kit got ready at his parents house before walking across the road to the church, Gen opted to stay the night before at Ashling Park Estate with her bridesmaids. The estate and vineyard provided such an beautiful backdrop to grab a few bridal portraits before we made our way back to the Church in Emsworth.

The ceremony, conducted at St James' Church in Emsworth was filled with laughter, love and (a first for me...) the Vicar hurling a toilet roll down the aisle. After a wonderful exit, the entire wedding party walked back to the house as Gen, Kit and I wandered around the other side of the harbour to grab some relaxed couples portraits and I think you'll agree it was such a picturesque setting to do so.

The decor and styling which was co-ordinated by their planner Ella was genuine perfection. From the made to measure marquee itself provided by Academy Marquees to their unique seating plan which was beautifully displayed using florals from Jane Walker, Forge Flowers and wine bottles, which I was informed had been happily emptied on the run up to the wedding...

The food....OHHH the food. Jimmy Garcia provided the catering and their canapés paired with a scallop and burrata station during the drinks reception were something else. The only thing better than how they tasted were how they were displayed!!

What a surprise!!

As guests mingled during the drinks reception to the mellow chilled out Ibiza classics provided by the legend that is DJ Tom Byrne, a cunning plan was hatched as a surprise for everyone by Gen and Kit.

Under the guise of having a group shot off the balcony of the house everyone was wrangled together by yours truly only for something much more exciting when the London Street Band popped out the balcony doors.

Those who dance together, stay together!

When I spoke to Gen and Kit about their wedding it became quite clear they wanted a relaxed day filled with their favourite people in one of their favourite places but they were quite adamant that come the evening time, it was going to always be a lively party... and as you can see, they were not wrong!
