Rhiannon & James

Stylish Foxtail Barns Wedding in Staffordshire

Foxtail Barns is an incredible purpose built contemporary barn in the heart of the English countryside based next to the equally wonderful Tawny Hotel

With accommodation on site both Rhiannon and James were able to stay the night before and get ready in the same location with Rhiannon in one of the Valley Treehouses with her bridesmaids and James further up the road in The Lookout with the lads.

As a gift, Rhiannon had bought her bridesmaids some beautiful patterned pyjamas which they spent a relaxing morning being pampered by the ever wonderful Frankie and Steffi of Bridal by Frankie and Vicky M hairstylist.

As soon as the boys were ready they walked down the path to the venue whilst Rhiannon was scooped up in the venue's buggy and shuttled down to the dressing room to put on her dress.

The ceremony at Foxtail Barns took place in the stunning Orangery where the modern glass roof and barn door style windows which can be opened fully, flooded the room with light. The room itself is stunning and even more so once Lauren from  Bluebell & Ivy had got her hands on it injecting some flashes of colour through the florals on the aisle.

Rhiannon said "I want the wedding to be fun, but I also like things to look good" and the decor in the main room certainly reflected that. They opted for four long banquet style tables which Lauren from Bluebell and Ivy had dressed beautifully and at the far end of the room which would eventually turn into the backdrop for their first dance later in the evening, The Event Edit supplied a moon gate, neon sign and disco balls to bring an element of playful chic.

During the drinks reception, as guests tucked into gin bar to the sounds of acoustic duo Parallel Lines and after Rhiannon and James had tucked into some canapés, we hopped onto the buggy and the videographer legend that is Adam Wing and I went for wander around the incredible grounds with the newly married couple to grab a few shots and give them a few moments to themselves.

I think you can actually see the moment his soul left his body

I mean, he was asking for it... to have three best men is to really open yourself up to a tirade of abuse and after lovely speeches by two of Rhiannon's bridal party, Rhiannon's mum and James himself, the fun really began (...well for everyone else but him!)

What James didn't know was that unbeknown to him, the best men had snuck into the reception room in advance and placed an envelope with his Tinder profile printed out for each of the guests... I've never seen someone look like they wanted the ground to open up and swallow them as much in my entire life.

Escape for Golden Hour

After the speeches had concluded to grab a bit of fresh air and let we decided to take advantage of beautiful golden hour to grab a few last shots of Rhiannon and James before they'd be welcomed back in for their first dance.
